Professional nine-to-fiver turned home baker. After becoming a stay-at-home mom, my husband challenged me to become a master at pies. As someone with an especially strong sweet tooth, I took it on! Now, I want to share my pies with you. I have an incredibly loving and selfless husband and am a (step) mom to a teenager and a toddler. But I’m not just a mom! I love to bake, rock out at music festivals, have a cocktail with friends, and embrace my homebody tendencies in rural Ashville, Ohio.
As someone who initially thought pies were strictly for the holidays, I was inspired by a friend who said he would always choose pie over cake for his birthday. I perfected my flaky, homemade crust and realized that you truly cannot get the same result with a pie from the store. After all, birthdays and celebrations call for a special treat! And so, Dat Pie Dough was born. For those who always pick pie over cake, and for those who want homemade at their dinner table without the fuss.
